Concert: Chamber Orchestra Kremlin

I’ve been away from the music hall for a while and this semester I really make an effort to get back to those concerts and really get in some live music. I’ve really missed going to these concerts and tonight’s concert really emphasized that.

Early Morning Blues

I always believed blues is a music that is best served on a rusty dish with a smooth drink and only at the right time. Early morning blues for me, is a blasphemy.Listen More...

Dashboard Confessional and Holter

While checking out a few music blogs I decided it would be blasphemous to read about music while not playing any in the background. I picked a band I thought wouldn't be too distracting and to my surprise (and disappointment) I realized I don't like this band very much. A while back I bought Dashboard Confessional's album "The Shade of Poison Trees". I got this album because when I was in Alabama I had a few friends that really liked this band and wanting to be nostalgic I got the album. To my horror the impression I heard when the first song started playing was, "this is hippie music!" Ruby Fulton and Composition

"It seems so obvious, but it took me a really long time to figure out that I should write music that I like. It seems like you would just know that, but when you're in school in this academic institution where you're always trying to please other people or you're always trying to get an "A" or whatever it is, I just didn't know that for a long time. And then it dawned on me and it was just like, oh, why didn't someone tell me?”

“Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here’s Tom with the weather.”
