Concert: Chamber Orchestra Kremlin
Thursday February 18 • 10:20 PM
I’ve been away from the music hall for a while and this
semester I really make an effort to get back to those
concerts and really get in some live music. I’ve really
missed going to these concerts and tonight’s concert
really emphasized that.

Early Morning Blues
Tuesday February 02 • 06:50 AM
I always believed blues is a music that is best served
on a rusty dish with a smooth drink and only at the
right time. Early morning blues for me, is a
blasphemy.Listen

Dashboard Confessional and Holter
Monday October 26 • 06:18 AM
While checking out a few music blogs I decided it would
be blasphemous to read about music while not playing
any in the background. I picked a band I thought
wouldn't be too distracting and to my surprise (and
disappointment) I realized I don't like this band very
much. A while back I bought Dashboard Confessional's
album "The Shade of Poison Trees". I got this album
because when I was in Alabama I had a few friends that
really liked this band and wanting to be nostalgic I
got the album. To my horror the impression I heard when
the first song started playing was, "this is hippie
music!" We all have our own taste and mine does not
include music that makes me feel like I'm out in a
field with smelly people playing guitar, sitting in
circles, holding hands, and singing.Listen

Ruby Fulton and Composition
Wednesday October 07 • 08:05 PM
"It seems so obvious, but it took me a really long time
to figure out that I should write music that I like. It
seems like you would just know that, but when you're in
school in this academic institution where you're always
trying to please other people or you're always trying
to get an "A" or whatever it is, I just didn't know
that for a long time. And then it dawned on me and it
was just like, oh, why didn't someone tell me?”

Combining Music and Literature
Thursday October 01 • 08:06 PM
It is only by introducing the young to great
literature, drama and music, and to the excitement of
great science that we open to them the possibilities
that lie within the human spirit—enable them to see
visions and dream dreams.
